Everyone can become an effective leader whom others would like to follow. One should not limit him/her into becoming a true leader just because he/she is inherently lacking orator capability or has an introvert personality by social style. These skills and other development needs could be learned through training and coaching.

NEDAAAB has identified significant unexplored potential among most of its members and community in general. Only few areas of focused development are required at this moment that include:

  • Assisting them into believing in themselves; and
  • Training & practicing influential behavior to grow into an effective leader

Effective leaders not only grow themselves but also inspire others to be at their best. These leaders handle crises courageously whether it is an economic downturn, difficult situations within family and friends, or community and business/entrepreneurship challenges, etc.

In view of the above, NEDAAAB is pleased to announce Leadership Workshop for its members and non-members.

Workshop Introduction
The workshop will provide you with an opportunity to learn about yourself and to further develop your leadership skills. Attendees will learn strategies that are meant to promote self-awareness, meaningful engagement with others, stress reduction and personal/professional growth as a leader. This workshop will also examine how leaders develop their manifesto (Persona) and leadership plan using “See-Be-Go-Get “model to feel more inspired and productive while growing through life & work rather just going through it. The program is designed for a full-day intensive workshop using adult learning techniques including but not limited to: experiential activities, workbook exercises, group problem-solving tasks, video cases, and lectures.

  • Discovering Good versus Great Leadership
  • Introducing See, Be, Do and Get Model for Leadership Development
  • Developing your own Leadership Brand and Manifesto (Persona)
  • Developing your own Leadership Plan

Workshop Pre-Work
Read selective Leadership publication and provided material, Self-assessment for your social style recognition, Answer pre-workshop questions for preparation to workshop interactive practices

Method of Delivery
Presentation, personal reflection, video, small and large group discussions, and practice

About the Instructor

Nasim Suleman is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta and Project Management professional with PMI. He has more than 22+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including past 12+ years in management and leadership roles. He has worked with individual leaders from both young emerging and senior levels, supporting them to lead with vision, ownership, dedication, and passion. In addition, he has mentored young leaders towards success, with focus on effective communication, strategic/tactical planning, team building and conflict resolution. Nasim brings experience, enlightenment, energy and passion for interactive workshop, ensuring attendees meet their learning goals while remaining enthusiastic, connected and entertained.
