1st Cricket Champions Trophy 2012

After successful Cricket tournament 2012, a lot of individuals and teams showed there interest to arrange this event again for fun and activity. NEDAAAB is happy to announce another full of fun event.

Program Details:

• When: Sunday September 16, 2012
• Time: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Where: Rotary Challenger Park 3688 -48 Ave NE Calgary, AB T3J 5C8
• Teams: 4 (minimum)
• Players: 6 per team (minimum), (10 maximum)
• Overs: 5 for league matches
• Semi Final / Final: 6-8 Overs
• Fees: $200/team
• Cricket Equipment: Cricket balls and wicket will be provided by NEDAAAB Organizing Committee
• Food & drinks will be provided by NEDAAAB Organizing Committee

Champions Trophy will be played on a league based system (Group A & B) where each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches and top teams from each group will qualify for Semi-Finals. Awards and prizes will be given to the winner,Runner up, Best Batsman and Best Bowler.

Please do not miss this opportunity to be the part of this festive atmosphere and a fun-filled event with the spirit of cricket at its best. This is not a family event, however if you choose to bring your kids anyways then parents have to ensure appropriate supervision.

Game Rules & Code of Conduct:

1. The Team Captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that the game is conducted within the spirit of the game.
2. All the players and teams shall not be engaged at any time in conduct which could bring the game into disrepute. Players and teams shall not use crude or abusive language.
3. The Players and teams must accept the umpire decision at all times. Players must not show dissent at the umpire decision.
4. One player can play for only one team in the tournament.
5. A bowler can bowl maximum one over in a single match.
6. Each batsman can score maximum 20 runs in a single match, if a player scores 20 runs, he will be declared from the inning.
7. Byes and leg byes are permitted.
8. No balls by foot fault and 2nd ball in an over higher than shoulder.
9. Last man can bat
10. Each Team can have maximum of 3 outside players (Non NEDAAAB Members)
11. There is no strict dress code, however all team are expected to be in play-wear
12. Tournament / Game format shall be strictly followed by all teams and can be changed or modified at any time by the Organizing Committee.
